Hollywood and politics are converging once again, as Blake Lively and Penn Badgley show their support for Barack Obama in a new ad for MoveOn.org.
Helmed by Mr. & Mrs. Smith director Doug Liman, the spot is styled after one of those antidrug commercials—sans the egg in a frying pan—with the Gossip Girl costars and other young people asking their parents to think twice about voting for John McCain.
Of course, we can't help but wonder: Are Blake and Penn truly concerned about the future of this country, or are they merely using this as payback for that time McCain expressed his fondness for a rival show?
