Preview: Pop Fiction Punks Paps and Press

The saga of Shaggy McGuru and Paris Hilton continues. If it seems like some of these tabloid TV stories floating around out there these days are too crazy to be true, it's only because they are.

As we noted earlier this week, some of this nutty stuff is part of a new E! show, Pop Fiction (debuts Sunday, 10:30 p.m.), produced by prankster Ashton Kutcher's crew, which goofs on the paparazzi and the press.

Hey, they even pulled the wool over our eyes! Damn them, there goes all that carefully cultivated journalistic integrity right down the drain. Oh wait, we didn't have any to begin with? Nevermind!

In any case, the time is ripe for spoofing the spectacle, even if we occasionally end up on the wrong side of the punchline.
