We're pretty sure Ryan Reynolds didn't mean to insult Julia Roberts in an interview with Parade magazine—it just came off that way.
He gushed to the reporter about his excitement at working with the iconic actress in their upcoming flick, Fireflies in the Garden, until..."I found out the scenes I have with her are when she’s playing my mother."
That's when Ryan blew it by saying, "It's so sad. I have to tell my friends I'm getting to act with the old Julia Roberts."
Don't worry, bro. The disappointment is probably similar to how she felt when she realized she was costarring with that dude from Two Guys, a Girl and a Pizza Place, Big Monster on Campus and Van Wilder...
