Hostess Mischa Missing in Action
It turns out DUI doofus Mischa Barton won't be extolling the virtues of the high life as the celebrity hostess at a Vegas club opening this weekend after all.
The busted beauty's management team came to its senses and pulled the plug on her scheduled paid appearance at CatHouse. As if we didn't see that one coming...
The New York Post quotes a Vegas insider as saying "Mischa can't give interviews on the red carpet or deal with the press right now, so [her managers] told her she can't do the event."
Then again, maybe the opting out was the other way around, as the CatHouse's official statement is as such: "Because of the media attention currently surrounding Mischa Barton, CatHouse has decided it is best for all parties involved that Mischa does not appear at tonight's grand opening. Mischa will not be replaced as host, however VIP guests confirmed to celebrate the highly anticipated 'loungerie' opening include Adrien Brody, Jaime King, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Trachtenburg and Jack Osbourne, among others."
Way to deflect, guys! Still we think a substitute host would have been the way to go. Hey, now that we mention it, Britney's always up for a road trip, y'all!
