Okay, so maybe Chris Crocker is right, and we should all just leave Britney alone. But she should probably also quit calling the paparazzi to follow her around.

That way, TMZ wouldn't have footage of Britney getting light-fingered, or should we say lighter-fingered, by shoplifting a cigarette lighter at a convenience mart in Sherman Oaks .

Because then we probably wouldn't even know that she used the ol' five-finger discount if she hadn't looked right into the camera and admitted it. Oops!

And yo, Brit, don't think the Chevron owner didn't notice. He waxed on to People about how he wants what's coming to him: "The lighter is $1.39. I'm hoping maybe the next time she comes back, she will pay for it."
