Amy Winehouse: Nod for the Weak of Heart

Talk about being busy! Amy Winehouse says she doesn't take drugs because she "doesn't have time...I take, like, anti…I take stuff for my depression. Prescriptive stuff. But I don’t take it."

That crazy quote and a bunch of truly grueling moments are part of a tragic interview in the December issue of Blender, in which Amy repeatedly nods off.

"Her words are slurred," the article says, "her eyelids drooping. Her head wobbles into a nod. She falls asleep for a second, wakes with a start, mutters and drops off again. The smoldering cigarette in her left hand falls to the floor."

And on it goes from there, as the mag tips its hat to a singer with "remarkably broad appeal" and demons just as far reaching.

Winehouse attempts to detail her stormy love with now imprisoned bad boy Blake Fielder-Civil, but she can't even stay lucid enough to complete a sentence on where and when they met.

It's one compelling read. And the whole thing would be funny, really...if it weren't so sad.
