Breaking! Malibu Is Burning

Malibu is ablaze, and we're not talking bonfire of the vanities here.
The Culprit: The Santa Ana winds are tearing through Southern California, putting countless homes and residents in danger, including in the legendary, A-list-infested beachfront haven of Malibu.
The Potential Victims: The homes of Sean Penn, Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson, David Arquette and Courteney Cox, Jennifer Aniston, Goldie Hawn, Olivia Newton-John, Sting , James Cameron, Mark Hamill and Cindy Crawford. Oh, and Britney's new rental.
We can't help but worry about an impending Angeleno apocalypse. Just get a look at what else is at stake...
- Every celebrity's favorite Malibu eatery, Nobu, is currently closed. Where, oh, where will Courteney get her weekly sushi fix?
- Britney is being forced to go the distance for her Frappuccinos, since the Malibu Starbucks she frequents has been shut down. We're sure all she needs is 20 minutes in a tanning booth, and she'll feel better.
- The LG House, the beach bungalow where Hayden Panettiere celebrated her 18th birthday and our Hollywood Party Girl enjoyed some summertime frolicking, has suffered major fire damage. Once again, the Polaroid Beach House proves a more desirable hangout.
- And finally, rehabbing celebs will have to find somewhere to sober up now that Promises has been evacuated.
Where will all these stars take refuge? Hmmm, there was a Malibu clone constructed in Queensland, Austrailia, part of the set for Debra Messing's miniseries The Starter Wife—that would probably work.
In all seriousness, though, this is bad news for a lot of people, not just the stars. Major blazes are tearing across Southern California, forcing many thousands to flee. We hope everyone—not just Britney—can safely return to their intact homes, and soon.
