A Little Endorsement Is a Dangerous Thing

We love Katherine Heigl. We do. Nice kid, great actress, hot as hell. So, imagine our disappointment when we received the following press release:

Scrubs & Beyond proudly announces the exclusive 30-day launch of the Katherine Heigl™ Collection of medical scrubs by Peaches™ Uniforms. This stylish collection of professional medical scrubs is influenced by Katherine Heigl, the Emmy Award-winning actress. Attractive and practical, the collection was inspired by the everyday needs of medical professionals.

Girl, what are you thinking? Maybe your corporate handlers consider this brilliant integrative marketing, the sweet spot between medical and retail and fashion and celebrity.

But really?! Your own brand of medical scrubs, because you're on a show about doctors? That's just plain silly.

Hey, we're all for capitalist impulses, but we beseech you: Protect your personal brand. You're a high-class broad, and you should be endorsing hip jewelry, tricked-out watches or eco-friendly electric sports cars or something.

Scrubs, no matter how well designed, are just a little too...scrubby.
