New details about Owen Wilson's fragile state are emerging in  Us Weekly's cover story:

  • He reportedly visited a Santa Monica church in his neighborhood on Aug. 23.

  • Luke Wilson is said to have found Owen after his suicide attempt, which may have included cutting his wrist with a knife.

  • Friends and family were reportedly aware of Owen's struggle with depression and addiction to cocaine and heroin (a claim his rep denies).

  • And as we first reported earlier this week, Owen's early-summer split with Kate may have worsened the situation.
