Worried about the state of the world? Horrified for all the kids out there who play Halo and watch Bruce Willis movies and crave guns? Scared that America's young girls are all aspiring to be Lindsay Lohan? Terrified that the war in Iraq will never end?

Fear not! As it turns out, Hollywood is taking care of all those problems. Here's the first in a special series. And it's easily the best forward I got all week. Subject: David Lynch and School Violence. Um, intriguing much?

THE PROJECT:  I know. The email goes on to explain that the Twin Peaks master auteur has a plan to end school violence. I love that he's going to "end" it. I mean, dude, can't you slow it down a bit? Like maybe start by saying you hope to "curb" it or "lessen it" or something. "Ending school violence" seems like such a brash goal that I'm stunned that megalomaniac Oliver Stone isn't the one behind this!

But the best part is the plan itself, see. David—with the help of sometime singer Donovan Leitch—is going to teach a million kids around the world to meditate. You can learn more about it at his Website.

THE POTENTIAL:  I'm not a cynical monster, but at the same time, I'm not sure that Generation ADD is, well, cut out for sitting Indian-style and breathing.
