Britney Spears having dinner with Mel Gibson?
Yup.
I’ve confirmed that the two were among a group of friends who dined together last night at the Romanov restaurant in Studio City.
However, don’t go looking for any professional collaboration between the pop princess and the Oscar-winning filmmaker.
Despite earlier reports that the dinner was a work-related meeting, a source tells me it was "not about business at all."
It was, I'm told, something much more personal. "All about sobriety," the source told me. "Just a friendly dinner. They have mutual friends."
The get-together lasted for about two hours in the eatery’s private dining room, People magazine reported this morning.
