Last night, it was all about getting stoned and having meaningless sex!

Get your mind out of the gutter! I’m talking about Showtime’s big Hollywood screening at the Arclight for the new season of Weeds and the debut of the net's sex-filled series Californication.

First, lemme tell ya about Californication. It’s former X-Files star David Duchovny’s return to television. And what a return it is.

Duchovny stars as Hank Moody, a middle-aged writer who seems to have hit rock bottom. Hank's suffering from writer’s block after publishing just one bestseller. He's also still in love with his ex-girlfriend (played by the beautiful Natascha McElhone, above with Duchovny), the mother of their already partying 12-year-old daughter.

Hank is self-medicating his misery with lots of booze and countless one-night stands. If the first episode is any indication, we’ll be getting lots of T&A in this series.

Even Duchovny gets a bum deal. And that's a good thing for fans of the 47-year-old hunkster, because not long into the first episode, he shows off his nice naked tush.

And speaking of naked men, Kevin Nealon and Andy Milder drop their pants in the Weeds season premiere. After getting very loopy from lots of pill-popping, let’s just say Nealon and Milder’s characters engage in, um, a measuring contest.

The after-party at Boulevard3 paid homage to Californication with near-naked bikini-clad models blowing...bubbles at the front door. But inside, it was a Weeds theme, with fake marijuana plants beneath ultraviolet lighting systems, shadows of oversize pot leaves on the walls and a chandelier featuring four gigantic joints that would occasionally blow smoke .

The gift bag? Beauty products from Hempz, which are made from—what else?—hemp seed oil and extract!

Surprisingly, there were no Californication condoms.
