Baby News! Desperate Housewives; plus, Samantha Harris

I’ve got a couple of baby scoops for you.
First up, the new Desperate Housewives baby.
Joy Lauren, who plays 17-year-old, pregnant Danielle on the Wisteria Lane series, says she’s doing some homework to prepare for her television birth.
“I was thinking of going on YouTube or something, but I’m afraid of what I’ll find,” Lauren, 17, told us at last night’s TMG International Style LA fashion show at the Viceroy Hotel in Santa Monica. “I’ve never been to a birth or seen one, so all I have to go on is movies and stuff like that. A friend of mine offered to take me to Lamaze class, and I was like, ‘No!' ”
Now, in the real baby department, my E! News pal Samantha Harris, who is seven months pregnant, says she and her hubby, Michael, have picked out baby names, but have decided to keep them a secret.

"Because we aren't finding out what the sex of the baby is before the delivery, we have one boy’s name and one girl’s name chosen,” says Harris, cohost of last night’s shindig with Shiva Rose McDermott. Proceeds benefit the Stop the Violence, Face the Music antiviolence education group.
As for Harris' work—here at E! News and cohosting Dancing with the Stars—she isn’t slowing down just yet. “I’m basically planning to be at Dancing with the Stars and E! News for as many days as I’m feeling up to it,” she says. “I will make sure I’m back as soon as possible.”
