Rob Schneider is making no apologies for his riff on Lindsay Lohan

"Maybe if Elvis got arrested, he could possibly be alive today," he told me through his rep this morning, before getting on a plane in Los Angeles bound for New York. "There are worse things in the world, and I hope she gets her act together."

The Deuce Bigelow star appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last night in drag as Lohan. The 21-year-old actress canceled her appearance with Leno after her bust early yesterday morning for allegedly driving under the influence.

Also this morning, Barbara Walters criticized Leno for having Schneider do the drag routine. "It just seems so mean," the TV maven said on The View.

However, Elisabeth Hasselbeck said she stops feeling sorry "when a person who's drinking gets behind the wheel of a car when 43,000 people a year are killed by drunk drivers."

Despite Walters criticism, she did air Schneider's Leno bit during the morning chat show.
