This Just In! Bass Bound for Broadway

Lance Bass is headed for Broadway.

I can exclusively tell you that the boy-band singer is about to sign on for a gig in the hit musical Hairspray. He’s said to be in New York City right now finalizing the deal.

Sources tell me that he will take on the role of the Dick Clark-like television dance show host, Corny Collins. He'll most likely start his five-month run sometime next month, according to my sources.

No word on whether Bass' new job will be featured in his reality show for the Logo, the gay cable network. Bass has a development deal with Logo for a music-based series.

Reps for Bass and the show did not comment.

X-Men hottie James Marsden plays Corny in the movie adaptation of the show, which is being released on July 20.
