Spice Girls on the Strip?

Céline Dion does it. Elton John, too. And Cher and Bette Midler are on their way.

Now the Spice Girls may try to get in on the action.

I'm talking Las Vegas.

Ever since the Spice Girls called it quits seven years ago, there have been never-ending reunion rumors. Most recently, the five gals—Victoria Beckham, Geri Halliwell, Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton and Melanie Chisholm—denied reports they would finally get back together for the Princess Diana memorial concert July 1 in their native England.

Now, I'm hearing that one of the ideas the Spice Girls and their creator and manager, Simon Fuller, are considering is an extended gig in Sin City.

A source tells me that the cost of a more traditional international tour could be astronomical because the Girls now have six kids among them, and Bunton is expecting her first baby this summer.

In other words, the grown-up Spice Girls need nannies, tutors and other such child-care help.

"They would do a couple of big dates around the world and then settle into six months or so in Vegas," my source reports. "They can all walk away with a lot more money without having to travel."

A rep for Fuller did not comment.
