Francis Ford Coppola is a softie. I broke the news yesterday that his Oscar-winning screenwriter-director daughter, Sofia, gave birth to her and boyfriend Thomas Mars' first child, a girl they've named Romy. Now I've learned that it seems like Grandpa Godfather honored the baby's birthplace—France—with plush presents from West Hollywood's French-named celeb baby boutique, Petit Tresor. I'm told he spent about $800 on stuffed animals, including a cute hippo, lion, tiger and zebra, and then topped the thing off with a safari mobile.

Speaking of Petit Tresor, Leonardo DiCaprio's Israeli model girlfriend, Bar Rafaeli, was spotted browsing there the other day.

Tori Spelling hasn't confirmed reports that she's due in the spring, but the timing sounds right to me. In fact, I'm told friends are planning a baby shower for the TV dynasty scion sometime in February, not long before she's expected to give birth to her and hubby Dean McDermott's first child. In the meantime, she has elves to think about. Yes, I'm talking Santa's little helpers. Spelling and hottie Dancing with the Stars former contestant Joey Lawrence will judge the "Dress Like an Elf" contest at the Kohl's Winter Wonderland festivities on Dec. 9 in West Hills, California.

Now back to babies, sort of: The British tabs were at it once again in the last couple of weeks, reporting that Nicole Kidman is preggers and claiming she told hubby Keith Urban the good news while he's in rehab. Kidman's family and friends don't even bother laughing anymore at what seem like daily murmurings that she's expecting. "It's getting boring already," one such confidante told me. "By now, she would have had countless number of babies if the stories were true." Urban does have a baby—his latest album, that is—to celebrate right now. His fourth album, Love, Pain & the Whole Crazy Thing, will spend its third consecutive week as number one on Billboard's Country Album Chart, his rep just announced today. Also announced today, Ms. Kidman being named by the Hollywood Reporter as this year's highest-paid actress. Her asking price? Between $16 million and $17 million per movie!

Despite their fame, Drew Barrymore and the Strokes' Fabrizio Moretti have done a good job keeping out of the spotlight. For instance, the two were almost completely unnoticed while eating with Moretti's bandmates at Lunch in Santa Monica last week. But one of my spies was on it, reporting, "She was so cute and kept twirling her hair like a little kid while they talked."

Also looking cute, Rebecca Romijn and fiancé Jerry O'Connell. They were spotted riding on a bicycle built for two on Thanksgiving morning in Woodland Hills, California.

And the big question for this coming Sunday is if recently out of the closet gay celebs T.R. Knight and Neil Patrick Harris will be walking the red carpet with their significant others at Cracked Xmas 9, the Los Angeles benefit for the Trevor Project suicide prevention hotline for gay youth.
