Calling All Luke Wilson Fans

I’m back in Malibu for Boost Mobile's Island Barbecue at the Polariod Beach House. Ian Ziering is playing volleyball (shirtless, of course), Tara Reid’s waving to the paparazzi in über-mini shorts and Nicky Hilton is tugging around boyfriend David Katzenberg. It’s just another ordinary summer day for the rich and famous—that is, until I look up at the sky and see a propeller plane waving around Luke Wilson’s phone number! Like the rest of the beachgoers, my curiosity is piqued, so I whip out my BlackBerry and dial. “Hi, you’ve reached Luke’s phone,” the answering machine immediately says. No way! This can’t be real.

I ask around, and a man close to the Old School actor discloses that it’s most likely Johnny Knoxville playing a prank on his bud. Talk about an expensive funny!

Once the digits hoax dies down, it’s Lindsay Lohan’s turn to steal the spotlight. Earlier she was inside asking for some Lia Sophia bling since she was unable to attend last weekend’s clambake. There are no leftover accessories, so a publicist for the event obliges by giving the starlet the ring off her own finger. Now, Linds, with the ring and a new outfit—a long, multicolored dress—is outside, walking toward the beach proudly holding her Coke. As in, Coca-Cola (not even La Lohan could be that retarded).
After flashing the paparazzi a few peace signs, Lindsay hides behind a group of friends on a West Elm beanbag. She even resorts to crawling on the sand to talk to a bud across the way, just so the cameras don’t catch her every move.
As much as I’d love to stay and watch the starlet puff her Parliaments, I’ve had enough sun today. So, I pass Eric Balfour (and his Budweiser Select), Niecy Nash (and her ubiquitous flower) and Macy Gray (who's deejaying and wearing a Black Sabbath tee) and head back to Hollywood.
By the way, paparazzi weren't the only snap-happy folks at the bash. Celebrities like Reid, Nash, Andrew Keegan and Corey Feldman all played with Polaroid's new red t730 digital camera, which is sold at Target. Check it out!
