Verne Troyer's Mini Hospital Stay

Verne Troyer had to take longer than five today.

The diminutive actor received treatment at a Vancouver hospital Wednesday after falling ill on the set of his new film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, his manager confirmed to E! News.

According to an eyewitness, an ambulance transported Troyer, 39, to Burnaby Hospital, where he was checked out and released a short time later.

"He is fine," manager Elena Fondacaro said. "He is already back at work."

While a hospital spokeswoman wouldn’t comment on the Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me (and Goldmember) star's condition, a source told Us Weekly's website, which first reported the incident, that Troyer was suffering from "flu-like symptoms" and was in need of hydration.

If the title of Troyer's upcoming film, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus, sounds familiar, here's why: It's the Terry Gilliam-directed project Heath Ledger was working on at the time of his death.

After revisions were made to the script, production resumed last month with Johnny Depp, Colin Farrell and Jude Law stepping in to play separate incarnations of Ledger's character in the more fantastical scenes of the film, about a centuries-old traveling magician who made a deal with the devil to ensure his immortality.

Gilliam has assured that the scenes Ledger shot in London will remain unmodified by CGI or other digital trickery. The movie is tentatively slated for release in early 2009.
