Pat O'Brien's Rehab Rerun

Pat O'Brien is back on the inside.

The veteran TV host has checked into an undisclosed rehabilitation facility, according to a statement from The Insider.

"O'Brien and his doctors felt this is the best course for maintaining his sobriety," a rep said.

The 59-year-old celebrity-gossip pusher spent 40 days undergoing treatment for alcoholism in 2005.

"I have had a problem with alcohol. Overcoming this problem is a top priority in my life," the newsman said in a statement at the time. His announcement came just a day after several sexually graphic voicemail recordings, apparently of O'Brien propositioning the woman on the line, made the Internet rounds.

"When you hit the bottom with this disease, it's a real bottom, like being in a grave that hasn't been covered yet," O'Brien told People, after completing his first stint in rehab. Being sober allowed him to realize that "on the other side of that door is hell. And I'm not ready to see that again."

O'Brien, who will celebrate a birthday on Valentine's Day, worked for CBS Sports for 20 years and has pulled hosting duty on both Entertainment Tonight and Access Hollywood. He currently cohosts the ET spinoff The Insider with Lara Spencer.
