Police Crack Down on Winehouse

She may have finally said "yes" to rehab, but that hasn't prevented Amy Winehouse from having to answer questions about her past drug use.

Police reportedly visited the troubled songbird at the Capio Nightingale clinic in north London Tuesday and interviewed her for two hours about the widely circulated video footage that allegedly shows her smoking crack cocaine.

Winehouse, 24, was not arrested and no charges were filed, but the Metropolitan Police said in a statement that "inquiries into the matter are continuing."

Video stills of the singer apparently using drugs were published by Britain's Sun Jan. 22. Two days later, Winehouse checked herself into the treatment facility.

"She has come to understand that she requires specialist treatment to continue her ongoing recovery from drug addiction," her record label, Universal Music Group, said in a statement at the time.

Though she remains in the treatment program, Winehouse has been working on obtaining a visa so she can travel to the United States for Sunday's Grammy Awards, where she is a six-time nominee.

The singer visited the U.S. Embassy in London Monday, accompanied by her father and a nurse, to look into getting the proper documentation.

A rep for Winehouse said "no decision" had been made as to whether she would be attending the ceremony.

As of now, the singer has not been granted a visa, a source close to Winehouse told People.

"We have no idea if they'll give it to her or not. If they give it to her on Friday, she'll be on a plane on Saturday. Anything can happen right now," the source said.

Though Winehouse was originally slated to perform at the Grammys, the source said it was unclear whether she still planned to do so, but that it would be in her best interest not to take the stage.

"As far as we knew, she wasn't thinking of doing anything musically. Then all of a sudden it was, 'I want to go to the Grammys!' " the source told People.

"All of these people are rooting for her to come, but what if she shows up and does so badly that it makes it even worse? The last thing we need is for her to have a really horrible show in front of everybody."

Winehouse is up for Best New Artist and Album and Song of the Year, among other honors.
