Brandon Routh Gets Superhitched
The Man of Steel has sealed the deal.
Superman Returns star Brandon Routh tied the knot Saturday with longtime girlfriend Courtney Ford, People reports. The twosome chose the El Capitan Ranch in Santa Barbara as the site for their nuptials.
Routh, 28, wore a cashmere suit by Looysen Fine Clothing, while Ford, 29, walked down the aisle in a Junko Yoshika sheath dress.
The couple has been together for four years, since meeting at Hollywood's Lucky Strike bowling alley, where Routh was working as a bartender and Ford was attending her brother's wedding rehearsal dinner.
Routh wasted no time in getting to know his future in-laws.
"He met my whole family the day he met me," Ford told People at the time of her engagement.
The actor popped to the question to his very own Lois Lane in August 2006, presenting her with a diamond sparkler from Neil Lane.
The proposal took place while Routh was in the midst of the Superman Returns press tour. Despite their excitement, the couple managed to keep the news under wraps until he finished promoting the film.
"She brings me to my knees," Routh told People at the time.
Apart from his role as a new husband, Routh is expected to return as Clark Kent in a forthcoming Superman sequel, tentatively set for 2009.
Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth and director Bryan Singer are also said to be on board for the project, titled Superman: The Man of Steel.
