John Stamos' Bumpy Ride
In-flight turbulence is never a pleasant experience, especially when it's the kind caused by fellow passengers.
The FBI was called upon Monday to investigate John Stamos' most recent ride to Los Angeles after airplane personnel reported a woman was making trouble for the ER star and, in turn, for everyone else on the United Airlines flight from Chicago to LAX.
According to witnesses' accounts, Stamos was catching some shut-eye in first class when the unidentified woman approached him and tried to shake him awake—which, if she'd ever paid attention to Michelle Tanner's attempts to do the same thing on Full House, she'd know Uncle Jesse wouldn't appreciate.
The woman then persisted in trying to get the actor's attention after he told her he wanted to sleep. Then, when he got up to use the restroom, she informed him she would wait in his seat until he returned.
After Stamos got back to his seat, the woman persisted in trying to chat with him, refusing flight attendants' urging to go back to her own first-class seat and repeatedly tapping Stamos on the hand.
Per Federal Aviation Administration protocol, authorities were informed of the in-flight turmoil when the plane landed, and FBI and police were waiting when the passengers disembarked.
Stamos, not a stranger to mile-high misunderstandings, opted to not press charges and FBI agents left the scene after they had finished taking statements.
A source told Access Hollywood the woman had been in Chicago with her children, who had been shooting scenes for an upcoming episode of ER, which is set in the Windy City.
An FBI spokeswoman later confirmed that agents "responded to a verbal altercation" on a United flight into LAX and that no arrests had been made nor charges filed.
