K-Fed Lawyer: Brit Will Get Visits Back

Britney Spears is said to be "really upset" and having a hard time coping with a court commissioner's decision this week to bar her from visiting with sons Sean Preston and Jayden James.

But she might be in for some cheerful news soon.

Mark Vincent Kaplan, the attorney for Kevin Federline, tells E! News that Spears is now "in compliance" with the judge's order.

"I expect that visitation will be reinstated," Kaplan says, adding that Spears could see her children before the next scheduled custody hearing Oct. 26.

On that date, both Spears, 25, and Federline, 29, are due in court to hear the findings of parenting coach's report and hear any updates from Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon.

Sources close to Federline said Thursday that the "America's Most Hated" rapper doesn't want his ex out of the parenting picture. But he did dispatch Kaplan to court this week as a wakeup call for Spears.

"Kevin believes it's the only way she'll start paying attention to her responsibilities, by making her feel the consequences of shirking them," the insider tells E! Online.

Gordon dropped the hammer on Spears during an emergency, closed-door hearing Wednesday.

"Petitioner's visitation with the minor children is suspended pending Petitioner's compliance with the court orders," Gordon said.

While Kaplan and Spears attorney Anne Kiley declined to elaborate on the judge's decision, a source said Spears had not been seeing the parenting coach regularly. She was also not cooperating with the random drug testing stipulated by Gordon.

Whatever the case, Kaplan said the issue is now resolved.

Still, Gordon's ruling devastated Spears, according to a member of her inner circle.

"She's really upset," the source told E! Online. "She keeps saying, 'I can't believe this is happening.' It's like she just can't accept what's happened."

While she awaits the return of Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, the "Gimme More" singer has to contend with yet another tale of woe.

On Thursday, the embattled pop princess appeared to run over the foot of a paparazzo while exiting a Beverly Hills medical building.

According to one photog on the scene, Spears put her hand up to her mouth in shock and burst into tears but drove away without stopping to check if the man was all right.

Video showed a tire mark on one of the man's white socks, but he left the scene without comment, and Beverly Hills police said no report had been filed. On Friday, the unidentified photographer's employer, TMZ, said he would not press charges.

The incident occurred on the same day Spears reached a civil settlement in her hit-and-run case, stemming from her August fender-bender.

The pop star was booked on the misdemeanor hit-and-run count on Tuesday, after she was formally charged in the case last month. However, the settlement—said to be in the $1,000 range—combined with the fact that she has finally acquired a valid California driver's license, could lead to the charges against her being dismissed.

A  hearing in that case is scheduled for next Thursday.

Meanwhile, Spears' new album, Blackout, is due out Oct. 30.
