Concertgoers Still Hot for Spice Girls

It's a Spice World, and we're just living in it.
Posh, Baby, Sporty, Scary and Ginger proved they still hold huge appeal for the masses by selling out their upcoming London concert within 38 seconds Tuesday.
More than a million would-be concertgoers registered online for tickets to the Dec. 15 show at the O2 arena, which holds 20,000. Successful applicants were notified by text message Monday night and told to claim their tickets Tuesday morning.
Tickets were originally priced between $112 and $155, but they were already being hocked on eBay for up to $2,000.
In an attempt to meet demand, promoters quickly added three additional London dates on Dec. 16, Dec. 18 and Jan. 2.
The reunited Spice Girls are slated to kick off their tour Dec. 2 in Vancouver. They'll continue on to San Jose, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, New York, Cologne, Madrid, Shanghai, Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney and Cape Town before wrapping up the trek in Buenos Aires on Jan. 24.
It will be the first time Geri Halliwell, 34, Victoria Beckham, 33, Emma Bunton, 31, Melanie Brown, 32, and Melanie Chisholm, 33, have performed together since Halliwell—aka Ginger—quit the group in 1998.
In connection with the reunion tour, the Spice Girls will release a greatest hits album next month, while Sony will release a remastered version of the group's critically panned 1997 movie Spiceworld on DVD.
