Firestone Gives Up Bachelorhood Again
His match made in reality television didn't work out, but Andrew Firestone is prepared to bid farewell to his bachelorhood once more.
The 32-year-old wine heir is engaged to 30-year-old model-actress Ivana Bozilovic and plans to wed in the spring, his father and Santa Barbara County Supervisor Brooks Firestone said Monday.
"We love her," the elder Firestone said. "She makes Andrew behave."
Firestone previously proposed to Jen Schefft during the 2003 edition of The Bachelor. The couple ultimately called off their engagement a few months after the show wrapped, and Shefft went on to star in her own season of The Bachelorette. (She turned down a proposal from her chosen suitor on the show and has since penned a memoir titled Better Single Than Sorry.)
Bozilovic, who, like Schefft, has roots in Chicago, has played bit parts in movies, including Wedding Crashers and Van Wilder.
Firestone is in charge of running his family's Paso Robles, California, winery.
With one Bachelor alum on the road to the altar, word broke recently that another romance forged on the matchmaking series has hit the skids.
Charlie O'Connell, who starred on the seventh season of the show, has ended his relationship with Sarah Brice, the couple confirmed last month.
"We split a few months ago—it was a clean breakup, nothing out of control," Brice told In Touch Weekly. "I definitely thought I'd spend the rest of my life with him—I think we both did—but there were some things between us we couldn't resolve."
The show is currently in its 11th season on ABC. To date, no Bachelor has exchanged vows with the receiver of his final rose.
Original Bachelorette Trista Sutter had better luck and remains married to her chosen fellow, Ryan Sutter, with whom she recently welcomed a son, Max.
