Dylan McDermott, Wife Separate
For Dylan McDermott, the bloom is apparently off Shiva Rose. And the feeling appears to be mutual.
The TV star and his actress wife have separated after nearly 12 years of marriage, according to People.
Neither camp has revealed when or for what reason the couple called it quits, though rumors of marital discord began swirling last week. They have two children, 11-year-old Collette and two-year-old Charlotte.
The duo tied the knot in November 1995 after meeting in a Los Angeles coffee shop.
"I was in love with her right away," McDermott told Diane Sawyer back in 2001. "For her, it was a little longer, you know, a couple of years. But for me, it was right away."
"I thought, 'Oh God, a handsome actor—I don't want anything to do with him!' " she told People at the time. "But then he opened his mouth, and he was very poetic and eloquent, and he had a brain behind those beautiful blue eyes."
The 45-year-old McDermott starred as defense attorney Bobby Donnel on The Practice and returned to the small screen just this week in ABC's much-hyped but critically panned Big Shots, alongside Michael Vartan, Joshua Molina and Christopher Titus. He recently completed shooting on the big screen drama Have Dreams, Will Travel, with Val Kilmer and former costar Lara Flynn Boyle, due out next year.
Rose, 38, has racked up guest shots on Las Vegas, CSI: Miami, Gideon's Crossing and, of course, The Practice.
