Prince Frederic Mugged by So-Called Fans
Talk about royal humiliation.
Prince Frederic Von Anhalt—known for being husband to Zsa Zsa Gabor and supposed lover of Anna Nicole Smith—was mugged by three women who stole his money and jewelry, stripped him of his clothes and left him handcuffed naked to the steering wheel of his Rolls Royce Thursday morning.
The self-proclaimed royal entered the public consciousness earlier this year when he came forward shortly after Smith's death to announce that he had carried on an affair with the former Playmate and could have fathered her daughter, Dannielynn.
After DNA testing proved that Larry Birkhead was the baby's father, Von Anhalt dropped off the radar, though it seems not everyone forgot about him.
The hapless prince called 911 from his cell phone at around 10 a.m. Thursday and notified police that he had been the victim of a robbery.
He said that he had been driving down the road near the Bel-Air country club when three women in a white convertible pulled up beside him, claiming to be fans of his and requesting his autograph.
Before he knew it, one of the women pulled a gun on him and her accomplices quickly relieved him of his belongings, including his attire.
Von Anhalt was not harmed during the robbery (with the exception of the injury to his pride). The value of the stolen cash and jewelry was not revealed.
The suspects were still at large as of Thursday evening, police said.
