J.Lo & Marc Anthony: Togetherness Tour

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony are taking a page out of Faith Hill and Tim McGraw's playbook and embarking on a joint tour.

The couple will kick off their multicity trek, dubbed Jennifer & Marc: En Concierto, Sept. 29 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, before continuing on to locations in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada.

At each show, they will perform separate sets of their own material, as well as team for duets in both English and Spanish.

Though Lopez has released six studio albums, she has yet to hit the road for a full-scale tour in support of any of them. Anthony, on the other hand, is a veteran of many tours and is only too willing to show his wife the ropes.

"Jennifer has never toured," Anthony told Billboard recently. "I've toured all my life. This is where I can step in and say, 'Oh, my God, this could be fun,' and introduce her to that world."

It won't be the first time the couple's personal and professional lives have intersected. Lopez and Anthony have contributed vocals to each other's albums in the past, performed a duet at the 2005 Grammys and are costarring in the upcoming biopic El Cantante, opening Aug. 3.

Anthony said his multihyphenate missus has been too busy with various projects to tour until now. "It is something she's always wanted to do, but she has never had the time," he said.

For every ticket sold, the couple will donate $1 to ING Run or Something Better, a youth organization dedicated to reducing childhood obesity by educating kids about the benefits of exercise.

"When I was a kid, we spent most of our time outside visiting in the neighborhood with friends. This is the first generation of kids who are so sedentary and the first whose parents might outlive them," Lopez said in a statement.

"We really need to be active in encouraging healthy eating and the joys and fun of exercising. I was really happy to have our tour provide a platform for ING's program."

Anthony's next album, the soundtrack to El Cantante, in which he portrays salsa legend Hector Lavoe, will be released Tuesday. Lopez's upcoming album is due out in September.
