Andy Dick's Ankle Less Than Perfect

The only space Andy Dick will be playing for awhile is MySpace.

In a posting on his page on the social networking site, the former NewsRadio star announced that he has broken his ankle and won't be able to make a stand-up gig in Boston this week.

Dick writes that he suffered the injury in Atlanta while "doing a stupid stunt I was dared to do" and is now in "a tremendous amount of pain" and will be lying around on his couch for awhile.

The 41-year-old actor-comedian added that he's "even more tremendously sorry" that he'll be missing his show at the Comedy Connection in Beantown.

"Just give me five weeks to heal and we're going to reschedule," Dick said. "Then I'll do a show that's even more kick-ass!" He signed his message "Andy Gimpy Dick."

The quirky bespectacled performer, brutally yet affectionately roasted by Howard Stern and his cronies a few weeks ago on the shock jock's Sirius Satellite Radio show, released a new comedy album called Do Your Shows Always Suck? in February and his all-music Andy Dick & the Bitches of the Century is available from Apple's iTunes Music Store.

Dick most recently starred in the ABC sitcom Less Than Perfect, which ended last year after four seasons, and was in Employee of the Month with Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook.

Up next, he's back on the big screen with Simpson in the comedy Blonde Ambition, due out later this year, which also stars Luke Wilson (apparently Dick doesn't play the leading man after all) and Rachael Leigh Cook.
