Ugly Betty Sis Ties Knot
Here's betting Ana Ortiz's fiancé didn't make any last-minute convenience store runs before the big day.
The Ugly Betty star, whose onscreen betrothed met with an unfortunate fate in the show's season finale last month, tied the knot with musician Noah Lebenzon in Puerto Rico Saturday in front of friends, family and famous costars.
According to People, the 36-year-old newlywed swapped vows with her 37-year-old beau in an afternoon ceremony at the Horned Dorset Primavera Hotel in Rincón, Puerto Rico, in front of 85 guests, among them Ugly Betty cohorts America Ferrera, who plays Ortiz's little sister, Mark Indelicato, who plays Ortiz's son, and Ashley Jensen, who eloped in January.
Ortiz and Lebenzon met in 2004, set up by mutual friends at a Hollywood restaurant. Things clicked, they immediately began dating, and they announced their engagement last August.
"I'm really thrilled and my cheeks are hurting from smiling," Ortiz said at the time. "He's a California boy so it's a nice balance for my crazy New Yorker."
It's the first marriage for Ortiz, who has opted to keep her showbiz-friendly maiden name.
Last month, the couple prepared for their trip down the aisle with a joint bachelor/bachelorette party in Las Vegas. They chartered a bus to shuttle 30 of their closest friends from the Beverly Hills Hotel to the Venetian Hotel.
Of course, the Ortiz wedding isn't the only big day on the horizon for the Ugly Betty clan.
In March, Ugly Betty exec producer and sometime guest star Salma Hayek announced that she was engaged and expecting with high fashion magnate François-Henri Pinault. No date—for either the birth or the bash—has been revealed.
