Sizemore a Wanted Man, Again
The Los Angeles penal system is beckoning Tom Sizemore back to the fold.
A warrant was issued for the actor's arrest May 24 after prosecutors requested that his probation be revoked in light of his most recent drug bust, L.A. District Attorney's Office spokeswoman Jane Robinson told E! Online.
A probation revocation hearing scheduled for Tuesday will instead take place at some point after Sizemore is arrested or turns himself in, Robinson said.
The petition signed by Deputy District Attorney Sean Carney asks that Sizemore be held without bail for failing to obey the orders of the court, the law and the specific orders of his probation, which required him to refrain from using or possessing narcotics or associating with people known to be drug users or sellers, except within the confines of a rehab program.
The Saving Private Ryan soldier and a friend were arrested May 8 outside of a Bakersfield hotel after mixing it up with a reservations clerk, after which cops were called to the scene and, finding the actor sitting in his car, turned up two bags of crystal meth and related paraphernalia as well as Vicodin, Klonopin and Valium, none of which Sizemore had a prescription for.
Sizemore pleaded not guilty on May 22 to five felony counts of transporting and possessing methamphetamine and possessing three controlled substances without proper prescriptions, offenses that could land him in prison for up to six years.
However, Sizemore was already on probation stemming from a 2005 conviction for possessing cystal meth, an infraction he almost went to jail for after failing to report for drug testing at least eight times and trying to cheat a urine test. His probation was extended for another three years after he tearfully promised a judge that he would stay clean and get some help.
If a judge rules that he violated that probation, he could get an additional 16 months behind bars.
The star of the upcoming thriller Stilleto is due to appear in a Kern County court June 18 in relation to the most recent drug charges.
