Well, that was quick.

Jennifer Esposito and Bradley Cooper have called it quits after just four months of marriage.

Esposito filed for divorce Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, citing irreconcilable differences as the motivation for the split. (View the court documents here.)

The actress is seeking spousal support, while asking the court to deny Cooper the same. She also requested that her estranged husband pony up the dough for her legal fees.

A rep for Esposito confirmed the split in a statement Wednesday, saying, "She asks that you respect her privacy at this time."

In a separate statement, Cooper's publicist called the breakup "mutual" and clarified that the couple have "been separated for quite a while."

If the duo's divorce proves to be anything like their marriage, details of the split are apt to remain scarce.

Esposito and Cooper tied the knot in late December at a low-key ceremony in the south of France. At the time, reps for the tight-lipped pair confirmed only that the nuptials had occurred, but refused to comment on particulars such as when and where.

The twosome made their unofficial lovebird debut at the 2006 Golden Globe Awards, where they walked the red carpet together but refused to confirm they were a couple.

After downplaying their romantic status for the better part of a year, they announced their engagement last October. Two months later, they were hitched,

Perhaps they should have taken a little more time to think things over.

On the professional side, Cooper currently has several films in the pipeline, including the upcoming horror movie Code 39 opposite Renée Zellweger.

Meanwhile, Esposito recently signed on to star with Christina Applegate in the pilot episode Sam I Am, a new ABC comedy series in development for the 2007-08 season.
