Apprentice Also-Ran Undressed for Success

Kristine Lefebvre is trading in business suits for her birthday suit.

The former Apprentice: Los Angeles contestant, who was fired on Sunday's episode, is set to appear on the cover of Playbody's June issue and will be featured nude in photographs inside the magazine.

Lefebvre, a cancer survivor, is taking it all off in order to send a supportive message to others who have battled the disease, publicist Howard Bragman said Friday.

And perhaps Hugh Hefner liked the look of her when Lefebvre and her fellow Kinetic teammates were treated to a pool party and reception at the Playboy Mansion after creating a task-winning line of swimsuits for designer Trina Turk.

The 37-year-old licensing attorney has also negotiated deals for past Playboy models, including Pamela Anderson and Deborah Gibson.

Lefebvre, meanwhile, will be the first Apprentice gal to strip down for the most famous of men's mags, with season-one lovelies Ereka Vetrini, Amy Henry, Krista Frank and Katrina Campins turning down a reported $250,000-apiece offer from Playboy and opting to pose gratis, albeit scantily clad, for FHM instead.

(Campins later said in an interview, however, that she would have done it for a cool million. "They were like, 'We're not even giving Britney Spears a million dollars!'" she reminisced to PR.com)

But although this is a scintillating turn of events in The Apprentice universe, Lefebvre is not one of the four finalists whom Trump will be choosing from during this Sunday's finale at the Hollywood Bowl-turned-boardroom. The photogenic blonde and wife of prominent Los Angeles chef Ludovic Lefebvre got the boot last weekend for putting the wrong phone number on a brochure touting Trump's newest Las Vegas building.

The six-year-old NBC series could have used that shot in the arm. This has been the lowest-rated installment yet, and the 11.3 million people who tuned in last June to see Trump hire Sean Yazbeck as his fifth Apprentice were a far cry from the 28.1 million who saw Bill Rancic win the honor the first time around in 2004.

This season, despite the new locale and that whole winners-sleep-in-a-mansion/losers-sleep-in-tents thing (and Trump's insistence that it's still a huge hit), the Mark Burnett-produced show has averaged 7.4 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Heading into Sunday's finale, the Donald's hiring pool includes James Sun, Stefani Schaeffer, Frank Lombardi and Nicole D'Ambrosio, one of whom will become the sixth Apprentice.
