Pam & the Kids: "Better Off On Our Own Right Now"
Pamela Anderson has enough men in her life for now.
In the latest posting on her online diary, the former Baywatch bombshell says that she and her two sons "are better off" without any extra testosterone around in the form of a romantic companion for mom.
"I've tried to remarry—move on," Anderson wrote Sunday in a statement that made up with warm sentiment what it lacked in punctuation. "Like any other single mom I've tried to create a healthy example for my kids always...I have faith that we're heading in the right direction. I'm really not interested in bringing any men into our lives."
A decision that she apparently made after bringing Kid Rock into their lives three times last year. The starry-eyed duo held ceremonies in St. Tropez, Beverly Hills and Nashville before settling down for four whole months of holy matrimony.
The long-haired duo filed dueling divorce petitions Nov. 27 and were officially over by Jan. 31.
And Anderson doesn't seem to care that, come May 28, she's free to marry again. Instead, she says, "I'm dedicating my life even more now to animal rights and the welfare of my children and the environment."
"They are completely well-adjusted and happy and thriving," Anderson said, referring not to the animals but to 10-year-old Brandon Thomas and nine-year-old Dylan Jagger, her children with ex-hubby Tommy Lee. "Their dad has been in their lives in a productive but small way over the years…That's why I realized early on that we are better off on our own right now and work on our friendship if nothing else with their father who's admittedly made mistakes but adores us. People do need time to grow up sometimes."
Anderson and Lee split up in 1998 after three years of marriage and the Mötley Crüe drummer's arrest for spousal assault.
Still, rumors that the notoriously amorous couple were planning a do-over continued to swirl well into the 21st century. In July 2005, Anderson wrote on her Website that, although "Tommy and I will always be best friends," they were most definitely not engaged again.
And that goes for Anderson and every other guy, as well. The 39-year-old single mom is currently building a second abode for her brood in British Columbia, for when they feel like escaping their luxe Malibu digs for awhile.
"I've lost myself over the years—but I'm back on track," Anderson wrote over the weekend. "I'm reading—I'm back to what makes me happy—growing and learning."
The erstwhile Playboy model, who good-naturedly took a turn last year as the object of Borat's affections, returns to the big screen soon in Blonde and Blonder, costarring the less-blonde Denise Richards. She also has a new beach-themed TV project in the works called Malibu, from the creators of Baywatch.
"I can't say no to the guys from Baywatch—they are great to my kids," Anderson says. "My schedule is built around theirs."
