Chad Lowe's Aspen Snow Job

The good news: If this turns into a TV movie, there's a sporting chance the actors involved will get to play themselves.

Chad Lowe, Rob Morrow and Fisher Stevens were rescued by the Aspen Ski Patrol Saturday after the trio found themselves lost and stranded in the snowy Colorado mountains.

The trio was in the area to compete in the 11th Annual Celebrity Downhill, which raises money for the Aspen Youth Experience, an organization that attempts to replace the challenges of poverty and domestic abuse with 10-day extreme sports excursions.

Numb3rs star Morrow told the Aspen Times that while the three were "all good skiers," they nevertheless got caught up in the snow and fog and unfamiliar terrain of the mountain.

Morrow said that the group ended up "going every which way" before eventually coming across another group of lost skiers who had the foresight to not only bring their cell phones with them, but call down to the Aspen Ski Patrol for a chaperoned journey back down the mountain.

It took the actors roughly three hours to make it back to sea level.

"It ended up being great because it was a good adventure," the former Northern Exposure star said.

The previous day, Morrow, Stevens, who has guest starred in Friends, Frasier and Law & Order, and Lowe, who stars this season on 24, all competed in the celebrity downhill to raise money for the child non-profit.

"It's a great event that raises a lot of money to educate children," Stevens told the Aspen Times.

Lowe, for one, made a strong showing down the slopes, though played down his skiing prowess—smart, in the wake of his subsequent disorientation.

"As long as I beat anybody else who's an actor," he told the newspaper.

Other "celebrity" participants in the event were David Alan Grier, Judge Joe Brown and Fox News commentator Bill McCuddy.
