Mills McCartney's Police Powwow

Heather Mills McCartney has some issues. Just don't ask us what exactly they are.

The estranged wife of Paul McCartney dropped in Wednesday at a police station by appointment near her home in Hove, a district in East Sussex county in southeast England.

The Sussex police department confirmed Mills' visit, saying it regarded unspecified "issues" and that she was not arrested. No further details were released.

The 38-year-old former model has been embroiled in a bitter divorce with the 64-year-old ex-Beatle since announcing in May they were dissolving their four-year union.

Last month, her sister, Fiona Mills, posted a message on Heather's Website complaining about her sibling's horrible treatment by the tabloids and revealing that Heather's even received death threats, making her fear for her safety.

Mills' rep, Phil Hall, couldn't say for sure what the sitdown with police was all about, but told the Times of London that his client has been unnerved of late.

"She doesn't want to talk about it," he said. "She has been subject to death threats and there has been ongoing communication with Sussex Police about that. I imagine it's to do with that."

Per the Daily Mirror, the land-mine activist and former model was accompanied during the visit by Fiona and  personal trainer Ben Amigoni, who drove them to the station.

British media have speculated that McCartney and Mills McCartney are nearing an out-of-court financial settlement. Aside from sharing custody of their three-year-old daughter, Beatrice, the tabloid News of the World claimed she would receive $63 million along with properties in Beverly Hills, worth $12 million, and London's tony St. John's Wood neighborhood, not far from the Beatles famed Abbey Road Studios, worth an additional $8 million.

The amount would be a drop in the bucket for McCartney, whose fortune is worth an estimated $1.6 billion. However, the drawn-out battle is said to be taking its toll on Mills McCartney's bank account: She reportedly had to sell some a cottage to cover the cost of her growing legal bills.
