Marilyn and Dita: 'Til Goth Do Them Part

Dita Von Teese has had enough of starring in Marilyn Manson's dope show.

The burlesque dancer has filed for divorce from her shock rocker husband of one year, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to court documents obtained by E! News.

Her petition, filed Dec. 29 in Los Angeles Superior Court, listed Dec. 24 as the date of the couple's official separation.

Von Teese (real name: Heather Sweet) asked that the judge not grant Manson (real name: Brian Warner) spousal support and that the division of their property—which we're guessing includes an extensive collection of eyeliner—be determined at a later date.

According to the New York Post's Page Six column, Manson was left in the dark about the split because Von Teese, 34, has been unable to reach him to notify him of her intentions.

"He's not been responsive," a "friend" of the couple told the newspaper. "She loved him so much, but he has too many demons. He can't even communicate with her at this point. She tried to tell him she was divorcing him, but she can't even get him on the phone. She moved out of the house and he hasn't even noticed."

It remained unclear whether Manson had officially been served with divorce papers. If so, it was likely something of an unwelcome birthday present for the musician, who turned 38 on Friday.

After dating for close to five years, Von Teese and Manson exchanged vows on Dec. 3, 2005, in a surprisingly conventional ceremony at a castle in Ireland, while around 60 guests looked on.

Von Teese dressed for the occasion in a purple gown by Vivienne Westwood, while Manson donned a black silk tux by John Galliano. Vogue was sufficiently impressed by the couple's wedding day fashion decisions to feature their nuptials in a multipage spread headlined "The Bride Wore Purple."

It was the first marriage for both. Manson was previously engaged to Rose McGowan.
