Mango off the Market

Chris Kattan may be able to spend one more night at the Roxbury—so long as he calls it a bachelor party.

The former Saturday Night Live star has gotten engaged to his girlfriend of a year and a half, model Sunshine Tutt, his publicist has confirmed.

The 37-year-old comedian popped the question on Christmas Eve at the home of Tutt's grandmother in Gainesville, Texas, according to People magazine, which first reported the engagement.

"Originally, I was going to do something very special," he told the magazine. "I tried to get Bono of U2 to serenade her. That didn't happen. Then I asked Justin Timberlake. No answer. After hundreds of phone calls and text messages, I finally ended up asking one of the members of the group Hanson. He didn't want to get involved."

Luckily, the bride-to-be's answer was slightly more positive—despite the proposal's shoddy presentation.

Kattan told People that he managed to surprise his professional-posing girlfriend by handing her the ring inside a poorly wrapped, deceptively disappointing box.

The camera-ready couple, who appeared together in the forgettable 2001 Brendan Fraser comedy Monkeybone, reportedly first met a Los Angeles birthday party for a mutual friend. They didn't start dating, however, until spring of 2005.

The impending vow swap will mark the first marriage for both, and is set to take place sometime in 2008.

Which gives the comic plenty of time to squeeze a few more gigs into his schedule.

While his post-SNL big -screen efforts have gone all but unnoticed—or noticed for the wrong reasons—Kattan recently kicked off a return foray into TV.

Last month, he starred in NBC's The Year Without Santa alongside John Goodman, Delta Burke and Ethan Suplee, and before that, in VH1's '80s-inspired telepic Totally Awesome.

He recently signed on to voice a character in Fox's upcoming animated effort, Two Dreadful Children, and also lent his vocal cords to the star-studded animated flick Delgo, due out later this year.

As for Tutt, the 27-year-old model was one of the four finalists for Miss FHM 2006.
