For the record Marie Osmond is "just fine," enjoying a summer vacation with her family...and tired of punching Jell-O.

Reps for the ever-wholesome entertainer are denying a report in the National Enquirer claiming that she was hospitalized in her native Utah after an unsuccessful suicide attempt.

"She basically had an adverse reaction to some medication she was taking and she blacked out," Osmond's publicist, Amy Hawkes, told the Associated Press, adding that the "A Little Bit Country" star is doing "just fine" and is "vacationing with her family right now."

Osmond, 46, was admitted to the Timpanogos Regional Medical Center in Orem, Utah, last week and remained there for several days, said Hawkes. The publicist declined to disclose the type of medication the entertainer was taking or the nature of her illness.

In its Aug. 14 issue, the Enquirer, citing in part Osmond's admission in her 2001 memoir Behind the Smile: My Journey out of Postpartum Depression that she struggled with severe emotional problems following the birth of her third child, Matthew, claims that the mother of seven had tried to take her own life.

Osmond's camp, however, smacks down the suggestion.

"We deal with those tabloids all the time," her manager, Karl Engemann, told the wire service. "You get tired of responding. It's like punching Jell-O."

Osmond shot to fame in the early 1970s as a member of the squeaky clean Osmond family. She spent time as both a solo act, topping the country charts with 1973's single "Paper Roses," and as half of the hit ABC sibling variety show, Donny and Marie, which ran for four seasons.

She kept a relatively low profile throughout the late '80s and '90s, preferring to spend much of her time running a porcelain doll business.

In 2000, Osmond separated from her music producer hubby Brian Blosil after 14 years of marriage. The couple later reconciled.
