"Medium" Star's Big Day
Although her day job is to see dead people, we're happy to report that over the weekend Patricia Arquette got an eyeful of party people.
And they were celebrating her long awaited big day.
The star of NBC's supernatural drama Medium tied the knot with longtime beau Thomas Jane in Italy Sunday, culminating a nearly four-year engagement.
A publicist for the hit show confirms to E! News that Arquette and Jane swapped vows in a small ceremony in Venice's Palazzo Contarini surrounded by family and friends.
It's unknown exactly which of Arquette's numerous star relations were present, be it brother David and sister-in-law Courteney Cox, Desperately Seeking Susan sister Rosanna or Surreal Life brother Alexis. And that's not counting patriarch Lewis, also an actor, or brother Richmond, a writer and, yes, actor.
But we'd bet good money that one family member was on hand: the newlyweds' three-year-old daughter, Harlow. (Arquette also has a son, Enzo, from a previous relationship with musician Paul Rossi.)
Arquette, 38, and her Sweetest Thing spouse are hoping this time's the charm: It's the second marriage for both.
Jane, 37, whose recent credits also include The Punisher and Dreamcatcher, was previously married to actress Aysha Hauer and by all accounts made a clean split--which puts him one-up on his new wife.
Arquette had a rocky (even by Hollywood standards) marriage to Nicolas Cage, during which time she and the Oscar-winning actor married, faked it, divorced, reconciled and divorced again.
Arquette and Jane got engaged way back in August 2002.
Thanks to some help from a crafty theater staffer, Jane appeared (via the magic of editing) onscreen during a Charlie Chaplin film the couple were watching. The swoon-worthy proposition included Jane holding up old-fashioned dialogue cards asking his offscreen leading lady to marry him. Harlow was born seven months later.
After the honeymoon, the two are due to get back to work.
According to IMDb.com, Jane has four big-screen outings in the works, including The Punisher 2, The Mutant Chronicles and the action drama Thieves, with Tom Sizemore.
As for Arquette, the Emmy winner returns to work on the third season of Medium in August.
