Cox and Mohr Feel the Love
Could be a nice day for a Little White Chapel Wedding.
Las Vegas' resident redhead Nikki Cox and Last Comic Standing enabler Jay Mohr are engaged.
Cox's publicist, Alisha Mahon, dropped the nuptial news on Friday, adding that the couple plan on tying the knot next winter.
The duo first met in 2004 on the set of Cox's Sin City drama, when Mohr guest-starred during the show's second season.
It'll be the first marriage for Cox, 27, and the second for Mohr, 35.
She was previously engaged to comedian Bobcat Goldthwait, whom she met in 1995 while both starred in the WB sitcom Unhappily Ever After. She has also been romantically linked with Entourage star Kevin Connolly.
Mohr, meanwhile, was married to model Nicole Chamberlain from 1998 to 2004. They had one son together before the split.
Before her current Las Vegas gig on NBC, Cox was consigned to short-lived sitcoms like the aforementioned Unhappily Ever After, ABC's Norm and her own ill-fated 2000 WB show, Nikki.
Mohr rose to fame in the 1990s and is best known for his stint on Saturday Night Live and his role as Tom Cruise's back-stabbing rival in Jerry Maguire. Mohr also played a morality-impaired agent on the cult TV show Action and can currently be seen in the Diet Pepsi ad campaign as, per usual, a slimy agent.
While it's not yet been announced whether Mohr will host NBC's resurrected Last Comic Standing this summer, he has plenty of big-screen projects to keep him busy.
First up is this August's The Groomsmen, following a groom and his wedding party who attempt to attain a certain level of maturity before the big day. Ed Burns, Brittany Murphy, John Leguizamo and Matthew Lillard also star.
Mohr will also star in the comedy Lonely Street, as a gullible, bumbling private investigator who becomes the prime suspect in a tabloid reporter's murder. Shooting on the flick starts later this year.
