NEVER FIND ANOTHER LOVE LIKE HIS: Grammy-winning singer Lou Rawls, who sold over 40 million albums in his five-decade career, died early Friday in Los Angeles. Rawls, best known for the hit "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine," had battled lung and brain cancer. He was 72.
THE OTHER: Lost star Naveen Andrews admitting that he fathered a son last year while briefly separated from his longtime girlfriend, actress Barbara Hershey.
HOSTEL TAKEOVER: Low-budget horror film Hostel topped the weekend box office, grossing an estimated $20.1. Its arrival in theaters ended the reign of big-budget giants King Kong and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
BROKEBACK-PEDDLING: A megaplex in the Salt Lake City suburbs cancelling the scheduled screening of Brokeback Mountain at the last minute. Gayle Ruzicka, president of the conservative Utah Eagle Forum, said not showing the film set an example for Utah.
ANGRY VET: Michael Jackson sued by the veterinarian to his exotic animals at the Neverland Ranch, who claims Jackson owes almost $100,000 in unpaid bills.
PRETTY WOMAN RETURNS! Julia Roberts set to make her first public appearance Monday night at the Broadcast Film Critics Association's Critics' Choice Awards, where she'll present a special award to Ocean's Eleven costar George Clooney.

SPEAKING OF JESSICA: Nick Lachey telling Elle magazine that his and Jessica's "exposure" on MTV's Newlyweds was partly to blame for the disintegration of their marriage.
SPEAKING OF NEWLYWEDS: Meanwhile, People magazine reporting that Lachey and Simpson have put up for sale their Calabassas, California, home that was prominently featured in their hit reality series. The asking price: $3.75 million.
HE'LL BE MISSED: Sunday's episode of The West Wing will acknowledge the death of John Spencer. The Emmy winner died last month of a heart attack.
BUMMIN': A spokeswoman for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia saying executives are "disappointed" a federal appeals court on Friday upheld Martha Stewart's conviction for lying about a stock sale. They had hoped she'd clear her name.
ON THE MEND: Lindsay Lohan released from a Miami hospital three days after suffering an asthma attack and returning to her family's home in New York to recuperate.

MOURNED: Mountaineer Heinrich Harrer, whose life was portrayed in the film Seven Years in Tibet, died on Saturday; he was 93.
