Lindsay's Bad Luck Beginning
Just Lindsay Lohan's luck--she kicked off the New Year with a visit to the hospital.
The Mean Girls star was rushed to a Miami hospital Monday night after suffering what People magazine characterized as a "severe" asthma attack.
Publicist Leslie Sloane confirmed the brief trip to the hospital. As of Tuesday, the rep told E!, Lohan was doing "fine." No word on what might have triggered the attack.
The 19-year-old actress rang in 2006 by hosting a New Year's Eve bash at Miami's Prive Nightclub, where she told E! News that her New Year's resolutions included: "do[ing] more charity work" and "tak[ing] more time with my family."
"I'll think of more," Lohan said. "I give myself seven New Year's resolutions, because that's my lucky number."
Perhaps one of the actress' resolutions should be: "score another hit at the box office."
Lohan stars in a raft of new releases in the year ahead. Her upcoming comedy, Just My Luck, opens March 3, followed by A Prairie Home Companion on June 9.
She also recently wrapped shooting on Bobby, Emilio Estevez's star-studded depiction of the assassination of Robert F. Kennedy, for which she worked alongside the likes of Anthony Hopkins, Demi Moore, Sharon Stone and Elijah Wood.
In two weeks, she is due to begin shooting her latest project, Chapter 27, an indie film centering on Mark David Chapman, John Lennon's assassin.
Lohan plays a fan who befriends Chapman before Lennon's slaying, while her oft-rumored beau, Jared Leto, plays the killer.
