THIRD TIME'S A CHARM: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire marking its third week atop the box office, grossing an estimated $20.5 million over the weekend. Charlize Theron's Aeon Flux opened with a disappointing $13.2 million in second.
THEY DO! Marilyn Manson marrying his girlfriend, burlesque dancer Heather Sweet, on Saturday in Ireland, People magazine reports. This is the first marriage for both.
GETTING SERIOUS: Brad Pitt's publicist announcing the actor is seeking to become the adoptive father of Angelina Jolie's children. A legal petition seeking to change the names of Jolie's two kids to Zahara Jolie-Pitt and Maddox Jolie-Pitt was filed Friday in Los Angeles.
BEATING THE RAP: A federal jury in New York acquitting Murder Inc. mogul Irv Gotti of federal charges he laundered $1 million in drug money for a crack dealer. Jay-Z and Ashanti were in court to support Gotti Friday.
DOWN THE HATCH: Lost stars Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros arrested within 15 minutes of each other early Thursday morning on suspicion of drunk driving. Both women were released after posting $500 bail and are expected to appear in court Dec. 29.
EVEN MORE STARS: ABC announcing that Dancing with the Stars will expand from 60- to 90-minute episodes. The new length means that it will compete directly with NBC?s hit sitcom My Name Is Earl.
GOING THE DISTANCE: An open casting call to be an extra in the new Rocky movie luring hundreds of hopefuls in Philadelphia on Saturday. About 10 lucky people were offered the chance to audition for a speaking role.
BURYING THE HATCHET: Oprah Winfrey calling an end to her feud with David Letterman during an appearance on Thursday's Late Show. "I want you to know, it's really over, whatever you thought was happening," Winfrey said.
BIG SUCCESS: More than 13 million viewers tuning into the Late Show to watch Letterman and Winfrey make nice, earning the show its highest ratings since February 1994.
STORK WATCH: Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin expecting their second child together, Entertainment Tonight reports, citing Paltrow's mother, Blythe Danner.
