ON THE MOVE: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt traveling to earthquake-ravaged Pakistan and visiting the hard-hit town of Balakot and a tent camp for quake survivors. Jolie participating in a news conference Friday in Islamabad, where she urged aid donors to keep promises of help to the survivors.
REMEMBERED: Pat Morita, who earned an Oscar nomination for his portrayal of sage instructor Mr. Miyagi in the Karate Kid movies, died Thursday of natural causes at his home in Las Vegas, his wife said. He was 73.
BABY, ONE MORE TIME: Sean Preston Spears making his world premiere in the Friday issue of People magazine. The photo spread features the infant with parents Britney Spears and Kevin Federline.
PHONE RAGE: Russell Crowe complaining to reporters in Melbourne that his phone-tossing incident was blown out of proportion by the media. "I got a $160 court-cost fine for something that would have had more newsprint about it than some very horrific and specific things that we should know about in our community," Crowe griped.
WEDDING BELLS: Elton John telling Attitude magazine that he and partner David Furnish are planning a "very small family affair" to seal their civil partnership on Dec. 21, the effective date of the legislation creating civil partnerships in the UK.
CANCELED: ABC announcing Wednesday that Alias will end its five-season run in May, due to poor ratings.
PROJECT LAWSUIT: Heidi Klum and Elizabeth Hurley sued by writer Joel Lamontagne, who claims he created the concept for Project Runway, TMZ.com reports.
UNDER INVESTIGATION: Vietnam detaining Gary Glitter for three months while officials investigate claims that the former musician had sex with underage girls. Glitter, who has denied any wrongdoing, is expected to be charged with child molestation on Saturday.
HE WANTS IT BACK: Dieter Wiesner, a former advisor to Michael Jackson, suing the entertainer for $64 million, alleging breach of contract and fraud.
OFF THE WALL: Meanwhile, Wiesner's attorney providing ABC News with phone messages in which Jackson rants against Jews, saying, "they suck," calling them "leeches" and complaining they conspired to leave him "penniless."
TAKE IT BACK: The Anti-Defamation League demanding an apology from Jackson to Jews everywhere and to fans who may have been offended by his words. "Michael Jackson has an anti-Semitic streak, and hasn't learned from his past mistakes," Abraham Foxman, the group's national director, said in a statement on Wednesday.
SPLITSVILLE: Joss Stone breaking up with her boyfriend of two years, Beau Dozier, People magazine reports.
