A "Super" Sizemore Comeback?

Train-wreck television might soon get a new engine in the form of Tom Sizemore.

Last week, during his umpteenth court hearing, the trouble-prone actor announced that he was shopping a reality-show concept called Super Sizemore. Now comes word that he has actually signed with a production company to shepherd the project.

Per the Hollywood Reporter, Sizemore has teamed with Terence Michael Productions (one of the production companies behind Showtime's X-rated reality series Family Business) and Gilbertson Entertainment to develop the series, which will focus on his ongoing legal woes, his battles with substance abuse and his often sordid personal life, including his new stint as father of newborn twins.

Sizemore says he has been videotaping his exploits over the past few years for the prospective TV show. (Apparently some of the not-ready-for-primetime footage wound up for sale to hardcore fans on his xxxtom.com.)

So far there have been no takers.

In the past few years he has seen his engagement to Heidi Fleiss combust, his drug problems multiply and his legal bills mount, resulting the loss of his home and derailment of a once-promising career.

The Saving Private Ryan costar's last primetime TV appearance came on a bizarrely captivating April Dateline segment.

Last week, a Los Angeles judge said she was encouraged by Sizemore's apparent progress and ordered him to spend another 30 days at a live-in drug-treatment center.

"This next month should prove to us that you're going to stay sober," Judge Paula Adele Mabrey said.

Outside court, the 43-year-old told reporters, "I want to put this very difficult time behind me...I just want to live a healthy, long life and be a good dad."

Even though he could be out of rehab in October, Sizemore is still facing an additional 17 months in the slammer and more rehab time for violating his probation in his 2003 conviction for attacking and harassing Fleiss.

Super Sizemore is the latest no-holds-barred reality series making a play for air time in the wake of Bravo's Being Bobby Brown.

Lil' Kim is working with a different production company on Lil' Kim Goes to the Big House, which will focus on her final days of freedom leading up to her prison sentence, which began Monday.

Meanwhile, VH1's Breaking Bonaduce has seen solid ratings since it debuted last week on the cable channel, despite some critics lambasting producers for letting cameras roll as the former Partridge Family star began using steroids and even tried to commit suicide (off-camera) after an alcohol-fueled meltdown.
