Marc Anthony Mum on Marriage

Marc Anthony isn't talking. Singing is another story.

The "I Need to Know" crooner, who, we think, wed Jennifer Lopez, this weekend, appeared as a musical guest Tuesday on NBC's Today Show and ABC's The View to promote his new album Amar Sin Mentiras (Love Without Lies).

But the Latin popster, who's been the subject of intense media speculation these past few days, refused to confirm Saturday's nuptials or new reports that it had been a shotgun wedding.

When Matt Lauer asked Anthony how he'd spent his weekend, Anthony answered, "I see where you're going with this, and I'm going to preface it with just saying--y'all know I don't talk about my personal life."

Lauer replied: "So, do I need to congratulate you?"

"Yeah, I have two albums coming out, man. Absolutely. And I would appreciate it," the 34-year-old salsa singer said.

During his performance in Rockefeller Plaza, Anthony sported what looked like a wedding band on his left hand.

Lauer valiantly pressed ahead, asking if a wedding had taken place Saturday at Lopez's home in Beverly Hills, Anthony responded, "That would fall into the category of 'personal.' And that's where I'm going to leave it."

Apparently, his zipped-lip strategy also applied to ex-wife, Dayanara Torres. According to New York's Daily News, the onetime Miss Universe wasn't wise to the weekend wedding, which took place five days after her and Anthony's divorce was finalized. She found out about it on the Internet and has since gone to Europe on vacation.

The news didn't come as a shock to J.Lo's first ex, Ojani Noa, however. "Well...knowing the way she is, nothing suprises me anymore," he told E! "She was someone who I loved and respected very much...all that...I lost it long ago. I think liars and cheaters deserve each other. It's not worth talking about it....I have nothing else to say at this point."

Anthony was equally vague when confronted by the ever-prying ladies of the View. "Don't believe everything you read," he told them before expressing dismay with the interest in his love life.

"It's still hard for me to understand, what is to me, the morbid fascination with celebrity," he said, without a hint of irony. "I just want to sing, I want to work on my music, I want to make my movies, that's all I want to do. I understand, you know, the interest, but I really don't understand the fascination with it."

His expression remained blank as Barbara Walters speculated on Lopez's maternity status. The camera-friendly couple's quickie wedding is fueling speculation that the two are already expecting.

Indeed, the New York Post reported Tuesday that Lopez has told friends she's with child.

A call to Lopez's publicist was not returned.

Lopez, a self-proclaimed Roman Catholic, has previously said she would never have a child without being married. Neither of her two previous marriages, to Noa in 1997 and dancer Cris Judd in 2001, resulted in rugrats.

She almost married Ben Affleck last September, but the three-ring circus affair was called off at the last minute. They broke up in January.

Anthony, who split from Torres in January, has two young sons from their four-year union. He also has a daughter from a previous relationship.
