Schwarzenegger Stalker Sentenced
Memo to would-be Schwarzenegger stalkers: When shadowing the Governator, it's maybe not the best idea to pen a missive outlining your plan for his demise.
And it's probably an even worse idea to share your plan with a local radio station.
However, a man pleaded no contest in Los Angeles Superior Court Friday to doing essentially just that.
Frank Torres allegedly sent an email to a radio station describing how he targeted the Terminator at various media appearances and claiming he could "pick him off."
We're guessing he wasn't a big fan of the California recall election...or maybe he just didn't like Kindergarten Cop.
In any case, police arrested Torres November 17 after an investigation into the source of the email.
Torres pleaded no contest to an attempted criminal threat charge and was sentenced to one year in county jail and three year's formal felony probation.
He was also ordered to keep his distance from Schwarzenegger for the next 10 years.
It's not Schwarzenegger's first experience with a stalker.
In September, Canadian cat burglar Richard Sathianathan was busted for trespassing on Schwarzenegger's Brentwood estate on several occasions and tampering with a car.
Sathinathan pleaded guilty to the charges against him and was sentenced to three year's probation as well as mandatory psychiatric counseling. He also received credit for 50 days served in county jail and was told to stay away from Arnold, Maria and the kids.
Nor was Torres' email the first indication that the Gubernator is a target while out and about on various official business. At one point during Ah-nuld's campaign last fall, an unknown assassin pelted him with an egg, coating his shoulder with yolk.
Schwarzenegger shrugged off the incident, showing a most un-Terminator-like sense of humor.
"This guy owes me bacon now," he cracked to reporters.
