Seinfeld's "Curb" Cameo

Jerry Seinfeld will do a pop-in on old pal Larry David on an upcoming episode of HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm.

The funnyman has a cameo on David's show this season, reports Newsweek.

"But don't blink," David told the magazine.

Apparently the cameo was unplanned. Seinfeld simply showed up on the set one day so producers put him in one of the scenes set in Manhattan.

No word on how Seinfeld will fit into the mockumentary-style series.

The fourth season of Curb kicked off Sunday night with two story lines set to run the length of the 10-episode season: Via flashback it was revealed that David's TV wife Cheryl persuaded him to get married by promising he could have a onetime fling when they made it to their 10th anniversary (which coincides with the show's season finale).

Also, after a successful karaoke session, David's tapped by Mel Brooks to take over the lead role in Broadway's The Producers opposite an unenthusiastic Ben Stiller.

For his peculiar brand of humor, the show's balding, bespectacled and bizarre star has racked up an Emmy nomination and a Golden Globe nomination while the series itself won a Golden Globe last year.

Seinfeld, who's done a whole lot of nothing since wrapping his eponymous hit series (co-created by himself and David), seems poised for a return to show biz with this current cameo, a new movie in the works and the upcoming DVD release of Seinfeld.

Fans have been waiting for a Seinfeld DVD since the show went off the air in 1998 when neurotic New Yorkers Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer were shipped off to prison for flouting a Good Samaritan law.

The impending DVD release drew attention last month when Seinfeld's costars refused to participate in the project because they would not get paid. Seinfeld was able to persuade Michael Richards to grant an interview for the DVD and is reportedly hoping to sway Jason Alexander and Julia Louis-Dreyfus to do the same.

Meanwhile, Seinfeld landed himself a honey of a deal to write, produce and star in Bee Movie, a computer-animated feature-length cartoon for DreamWorks--it's his second foray into features after 2002's documentary Comedian. The film isn't expected in theaters until 2006 ensuring a slow but steady dose of Seinfeld over the next couple of years.
